About Me
I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. It is my belief that the combination of a trusting client-to-therapist relationship paired with an empathetic and interactive approach can create a platform for growth. With a foundation rooted in evidence-based practices, I strive to create a therapeutic environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to motivate change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal growth, I'm here to help you navigate and cope with unhealthy and unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
I use a multi-modal approach to therapy to implement solution-focused strategies that guide you towards self-improvement and your true potential. My training and experience stems from a behavioral therapy approach including methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, I tailor our sessions to meet your specific needs and goals. I recognize that as a human, your needs can be as diverse and multifaceted as the human experience itself. Together, we'll work collaboratively to cultivate insight, develop coping skills, and foster resilience in the face of life's challenges.
My Experience: I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Health Studies in 2012 and a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2015 from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. I entered the mental health field in 2012 and first began my journey as a therapist through the treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders in Detox, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient settings. I have been working as a therapist in a private practice setting since 2017 treating adults through both individual and group therapy. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in New Jersey as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor.
